Today we are launching a new website http://www.theghampmovement.com. The site is going to focus on the efforts of people and organizations in the Boston area who are doing positive things and making change happen. We hope that you will join us in celebrating the hard work of many talented and dedicated people. If you know anyone that you think is doing great things please let us know.
Yesterday we celebrated the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Today we will all witness the realization of that dream as Barack Obama becomes the first black president. We all watched his rise to the presidency and remember how it felt to see this humble, positive brother rise to be the most powerful, influential individual not only in the U.S., but in the world. People of all races came to the realization that no matter where we come from or what obstacles face us, with God, goodwill, determination, and hard work humble actions can manifest big progressions.
As we remember Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s dream and Barack Obama’s rise to presidency, we must continue to do the same work they did in bettering the lives around us. Frederick Douglass said, “You will achieve nothing without struggle”. The struggles and obstacles we face must be met and overcome together in order for all of us to achieve greatness and prosperity. The G-HAMP Movement and G-HAMP Apparel blogs are, our attempts to overcome those struggles and better our community.
We are working hard to improve our surroundings but we can’t do it alone. We need your help to make real change. We hope that you join us on this journey and subscribe to the blog. Once you do, you’ll be part of the G-HAMP Movement. Start by going to http://www.theghampmovement.com. Go to the right of the website and click on ‘Subscribe’.
I want to wish everybody a Happy MLK day, love, peace, and prosperity…

“Dreams”
Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.
Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.
